NAUGATUCK, CT — The failure of the solar panels on top of the Naugatuck High School roof has been well documented. Officials were planning to spend up to $4.5 million to remove them and replace the entire roof this summer.
But now officials say they may be able to remove just the faulty solar panels and not the roof. This would cost about $200,000, the Republican-American reports. While this is good news financially for the Borough, it’s still expected within five to ten years that the high school’s roof will need to be replaced.
